We are a cover band that plays current Top-40, 80’s-90’s Dance, 70’s Disco, 60's Pop, Classic Rock, Smooth Jazz, Country, Standards, Motown, and much, much more. We pride ourselves on not just playing the music…but putting on the most entertaining show you’ll ever see from a St. Louis band. In addition to extraordinary musicians, our entertainment also features the vivacious women of Furious Vixen, who are as pleasing to the ears as they are the eyes.
The key to Flashback’s success is its unique ability to “read the crowd”, improvise the music being played…and take a lot of creative license with how the music is presented to the audience. We generally don’t use a “set list;” we seldom perform songs in the same order from night to night…and in fact…very rarely ever play the same exact songs two performances in a row. Flashback performs exclusively for private events, in almost any venue. We are not a bar/restaurant band. Our entertainment is suitable for audiences of any age, free of blue humor, racial jokes and other inappropriate antics that are the trademark of some St. Louis groups. Our repertoire is filled with songs people know and appreciate. Matching the right music to the right moment is what we do best! Our business practices are solid and simple. When you hire the Flashback Dance Band to entertain guests at your event, you can rest assured that the Flashback Dance Band will appear as contracted. Although at least one St. Louis band practices the highly unprofessional act of intentional double booking, the Flashback Dance Band has not, does not and will not subscribe to or condone such practices. You may have noticed that this website does not have the requisite "Schedule" section. Our reasoning is simple: Flashback Dance Band performs almost excluisvely at private events, which are not open to the public. In deference to the privacy of those who engage us, and with very rare exception, we do not permit guests or prospective clients to audition the band at someone else's private event. When Flashback is hired to perform for a public event, such as civic function or outdoor event, we will post that information on our main page under the "News" section.
